The ambitious aspirant of an aging gang of con artists, alongside his blunted mentor, finds that his lifelong dream of swindling rich victims out of their life savings by playing acts in costumes could be over before he even gets started.
Rattling from door to door in an aged station wagon, ambitious trickster rookie Huey and his graying mentor Jennifer swindle money out of unsuspecting victims‘ drawers in costume. For young father Huey, it‘s a real and respectable job, eye to eye. Everything could be going so well if the deluded boss of the gang of conartists would finally realize that his outdated analog system no longer seems to work in a digital world. With no prospects for loot, the organization threatens to crumble. For the jaded Jennifer, the normal course of events; for Huey, the demise of the dream destined for him, his recently deceased father. But he does not surrender so easily. The maelstrom of the bizarre battle against windmills leads to a tragic loss and Huey‘s inevitable question: what is he willing to sacrifice for his outdated but human dream of life?
